Park Brake Warning

BCM activates park brake audible warning chime with associated chime frequency at a fast rate and at a continuous duration. park brake warning sounds and BRAKE indicator illuminates when the following occurs:

• Ignition is in RUN position.
• Vehicle is not in Park or Neutral. BCM receives a class 2 message from powertrain control module indicating gear position.
• BCM determines that park brake is engaged (signal circuit is low). IPC receives a class 2 message from BCM requesting illumination of BRAKE indicator.
