Removal & Installation

  1. Remove rear calipers and caliper brackets, and wire aside. See REAR BRAKE CALIPER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Mark rotor in relation to hub for installation reference, and remove rotor. Clean metal contact surfaces between brake rotor and hub bearing flange.
  2. To resurface rear disc rotors, follow procedures for front disc rotors. See FRONT BRAKE ROTOR  and REAR DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Clean any rust or corrosion from wheel hub surface using Rotor Resurfacing Kit (J 41013). To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
