Test L: Traction Control Warning Indicator Inoperative (1998 Century & 1998 Regal)

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Install scan tool. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, select OUTPUT CONTROLS, then WOW CLUSTER. Using scan tool, command amber TRAC OFF warning indicator on. If indicator turns on, go to step  4. If indicator does not turn on, go to next step.
  3. Repair instrument panel cluster as necessary. See appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
  4. Malfunction is not currently present.
