DTC C1315: Adjuster Assembly Thermal Model Temperature Exceeded (Century & Regal)

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Install scan tool. Using scan tool, display DTCs. If any current DTCs are set, go to appropriate DTC. If no current DTCs are set, go to next step.
  3. If DTC C1315 is set as current, go to next step. If DTC C1315 is not set as current, go to step 8)  .
  4. Using scan tool, select TCS DATA LIST. Using scan tool, read front brake pads. If front brake pads are over limit, go to next step. If front brake pads are not over limit, go to step 7)  .
  5. Turn ignition off. Raise vehicle hood and allow engine to cool for 20 minutes. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, select TCS DATA LIST. Using scan tool, read front brake pads. If front brake pads are over limit, go to step 7)  . If front brake pads are not over limit, go to next step.
  6. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Front brake pad limit will be temporarily exceeded. If DTCs are cleared, perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK.
  7. Replace EBTCM.
  8. Malfunction is not currently present. Temperature of front brake pads can be read using TCS DATA LIST function of scan tool.
