DTC C1293: DTC C1291 Or C1292 Set In Current Or Previous Ignition Cycle

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Install scan tool. Using scan tool, display DTCs. If DTC C1291 or C1292 is set as current or history, go to DTC C1291 or C1292. If DTCs C1291 or C1292 are not set as current or history, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool, select DTC HISTORY. Verify frequency of malfunction. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. If DTC C1293 does not clear, go to next step.
  4. Replace EBCM/EBTCM. See ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE/ ELECTRONIC BRAKE & TRACTION CONTROL MODULE (EBCM/EBTCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
