DTC C1282: Calibration Malfunction

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Install scan tool. Using scan tool, display DTCs. If DTC C1282 is set as current, go to next step. If DTC C1282 is not set as current, go to step 4)  .
  3. Replace EBCM/EBTCM. See ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE/ ELECTRONIC BRAKE & TRACTION CONTROL MODULE (EBCM/EBTCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  4. Malfunction is not currently present. An intermittent DTC C1282 may be caused by a bad cell in EEPROM that is sensitive to temperature changes. If DTC C1282 has been set more than once, but is intermittent, replace EBCM/EBTCM. See ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE/ ELECTRONIC BRAKE & TRACTION CONTROL MODULE (EBCM/EBTCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Frequency of malfunction can be determined by using enhanced diagnostic function of scan tool.
