  8. Turn ignition on, but do not start engine. Using DVOM, measure voltage between EBCM connector terminal No. 4 or A9 and ground. If voltage equal to or greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to step 29)  .
  9. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative, then positive, battery cables. Using DVOM, measure resistance between negative battery terminal and ground circuit (Black wire/terminal "D") of EBCM connector. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to step 30)  .
  10. Using DVOM, measure resistance between positive battery terminal and battery feed circuit (Orange wire/terminal No. 13 or B12) of EBCM connector. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to step 31)  .
  11. Turn ignition on, but do not start engine. Using DVOM, measure resistance between EBCM connector terminals No. 4 or A9 (Pink wire) and positive battery terminal. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to step 32)  .
  12. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Using DVOM, measure resistance between EBCM connector terminals No. 4 or A9 (Pink wire) and DLC terminal No. 9 (Tan wire). If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, see appropriate diagram in DATA LINK CONNECTORS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  13. Using DVOM, measure resistance between EBCM connector terminal No. 4 or A9 (Pink wire) and ground. If resistance is infinite, go to next step. If resistance is not infinite, see appropriate diagram in DATA LINK CONNECTORS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS.
  14. Inspect EBCM connector and battery cables for poor terminal contact, terminal corrosion or damage. If there are signs of poor contact, corrosion or terminal damage, go to step 33)  . If there is no damage, corrosion or poor contact, go to step 39)  .
  15. Connect scan tool to DLC. Read DTC display. If any current DTCs are set, go to appropriate DTC. If no current DTCs are set, go to next step.
  16. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Wait ten seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position, do not start engine. If amber ABS and/or ETS OFF warning indicator turn on for three seconds and then turn off, go to next step. If amber ABS and/or ETS OFF warning indicator does not turn on for three seconds and then turn off, see appropriate symptom.
  17. Connect scan tool to DLC. Read DTC history display. If any history DTCs are displayed, go to step 40)  . If no history DTCs are set, go to step 41)  .
  18. Replace battery feed fuse with a known good fuse. Wait for ten seconds. Remove and check battery feed fuse. See BATTERY FEED FUSE IDENTIFICATION table. If fuse is open, go to next step. If fuse is not open, go to step 35)  .
