DTC B3102: RFA Link Circuit (Short To Ground): Testing

- If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM Pink 32-pin connector C1. Using DVOM, check voltage between BCM harness connector C1 terminal C15 (Black wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . See Figure . If reading is 9-14 volts, go to next step. If reading is not 9-14 volts, go to step 4 .
- Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If DTC B3102 is set, go to step 7 . If DTC B3102 is not set, go to step 8 .
- Disconnect RCDLR. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Using DVOM, check resistance between RCDLR harness connector terminal "E" (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is infinite, go to step 6 . If resistance is not infinite, go to next step.
- Repair short to ground in Black wire between BCM connector C1 and RCDLR. Go to step 9 .
- Replace RCDLR. Go to step 9 .
- Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram BCM. See NEW BCM SETUP under PROGRAMMING. Go to step 9 .
- System is operating properly at this time. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . After any repairs are made, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If any DTCs are current, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS. If no DTCs are current, system is operating properly.
