DTC B1349: Door Lock Actuator Ground Feed Circuit (Open): Testing

  1. If BCM diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If BCM diagnostic system check was not performed, go to BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM Natural 10-pin connector C3. Turn ignition on. Connect test light between battery voltage and BCM harness connector C3, terminal "A" (Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, go to step  5 .
  3. Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If DTC B1349 is set, go to next step. If DTC B1349 is not set, go to step  6 .
  4. Check for poor connection at BCM connector C3, terminal "A" (Black wire). See Figure . If connection is okay, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram BCM. See NEW BCM SETUP  under PROGRAMMING. Go to step  7 .
  5. Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between BCM connector C3 and ground. Go to step  7 .
  6. System is operating properly at this time. After any repairs are made, go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition off. Reinstall all components and connectors. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Check for DTCs. If any DTCs are current, perform BCM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. If no DTCs are current, system is operating properly.
