Test I: Low Tire Pressure Indicator Does Not Turn On

  1. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. If LOW TIRE indicator turns on for approximately 3 seconds and then off system is okay. If LOW TIRE indicator does not turn on for approximately 3 seconds and then off go to next step.
  3. Connect scan tool to data link connector and turn ignition on. Using scan tool prompts, turn LOW TIRE indicator on then off. If scan tool turns LOW TIRE indicator on then off, replace EBCM/EBTCM. If scan tool, does not turn LOW TIRE indicator on then off, suspect a problem in instrument panel.
