Test F: Traction Control Indicator Always On With No DTC Set

  1. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Connect scan tool to data link connector and turn ignition on. Using scan tool prompts, check body control module for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). If scan tool displays no DTCs, go to next step. If scan tool displays trouble codes, see BODY CONTROL MODULES article under COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
  3. Connect scan tool to data link connector and turn ignition on. Using scan tool prompts, turn TRAC OFF indicator on then off. If scan tool turns TRAC OFF indicator on then off, replace EBCM/EBTCM. If scan tool, does not turn TRAC OFF indicator on then off, suspect a problem in instrument panel.
