  1. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Connect scan tool to data link connector and turn ignition on. Using scan tool prompts, select body control module data list. Read TCS switch status as you press and release switch. If TCS switch state changes properly, go to next step. If TCS switch state does not change properly, go to step  7 .
  3. Connect scan tool to data link connector and turn ignition on. Using scan tool prompts, select ABS/TCS mode. Read TCS switch status as you press and release switch. If TCS switch state changes properly, go to step 5)  . If TCS switch state does not change properly, go to next step.

If TCS switch state does not change properly, go to step  9 .
  8. Replace traction control switch.
  9. Turn ignition switch off. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between terminal "A" of TCS switch harness connector and ground. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step  11 . If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  10. Repair open or high resistance in circuit No. 1550.
  11. Disconnect body control module C2 (Pink) connector. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between terminal "D" of Traction Control System switch harness connector and terminal A11 of body control module harness connector. If resistance is 0-2 ohms, go to step  13 . If resistance is not 0-2 ohms, go to next step.
  12. Repair open or high resistance in circuit No. 1571.
