Grand Am

  1. Perform INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Press and release trip reset button. If odometer switches between trip and mileage readings, check for poor connections or loose terminals. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If odometer does not switch between trip and mileage readings, go to next step.
  3. Replace instrument panel cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
