Circuit Description

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) performs internal tests to determine the integrity of its operation. The IPC will set DTC B1000 if it cannot verify its own operation. When DTC B1000 is set, the SERVICE VEHICLE SOON indicator will come on and DTC B1000 will be set in the IPC memory.

Under all fault conditions, a current DTC requires an ignition cycle to become a history code. If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC will also clear when scan tool is used to clear codes.
