Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Perform INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Go to next step.
  2. Connect scan tool to DLC and clear IPC DTC B0602. If DTC B0602 resets in IPC, go to next step. If DTC does not reset, go to POWERTRAIN ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - GASOLINE - EXCEPT METRO, PRIZM & TRACKER article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
  3. Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacing IPC, perform INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
