Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove left sound insulator. Remove ignition switch trim ring. Gently pull rearward to disengage retainers, and remove accessory trim plate.
- Remove upper steering column cover. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER . Remove ignition switch bolts. Disconnect electrical connectors. Disconnect ignition lock cable from ignition switch. Remove ignition switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
