Parking Brake Front Cable: Removal

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
  2. Loosen the parking brake cable at the equalizer. See Fig 1.

  3. Remove the cable from the mounting bracket. See Fig 2.

  4. Remove the cable from the actuator lever.
  5. Remove cable from the support bracket using the Parking Brake Cable Release Tool (J 37043). See Fig 3.

  6. Remove the parking brake cable from the vehicle.
