Low Coolant Indicator Does Not Light With Coolant Level Low
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect low coolant level module connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between low coolant level module connector terminal "C" (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. If low coolant indicator does not light, check Yellow/Black wire for an open circuit or high resistance. If wiring is okay, disconnect IPC connector C1. Check connector for good terminal contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace IPC.
- If low coolant indicator does light, measure voltage between low coolant sensor harness connector terminal "B" (Pink wire) and ground. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check Pink wire for an open circuit, high resistance, or short to ground.
- Turn ignition off. Measure resistance between low coolant sensor harness connector terminal "A" (Black/White wire) and ground. If ohmmeter reads 2 ohms or less, replace low coolant sensor. If ohmmeter does not read 2 ohms or less, check Black/White and Black ground wires for an open circuit, high resistance, or short circuit to voltage.
