DIC Coolant Level Low Message Is Not Displayed With Coolant

LEVEL LOW

1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect low coolant sensor connector. Connect fused jumper wire between low coolant sensor connector terminal "C" (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. Turn ignition on. If DIC LOW ENGINE COOLANT message displays, go to next step. If DIC LOW ENGINE COOLANT message does not display, check Yellow/Black wire for an open circuit or high resistance. If wiring is okay, disconnect IPC connector C1. Check connector C1 terminal D14 (Yellow/Black wire) for good terminal contact. If all circuits are okay, replace IPC.
2. Set voltmeter to diode check. Measure voltage by backprobing between low coolant sensor terminals "A" (Black wire) and "B" (Pink wire). If about 12 volts are present in one direction only, go to next step. If about 12 volts are not present in one direction only, check Pink and Black wires for an open circuit. Also check low coolant sensor for good terminal contact. If all circuits are okay, replace low coolant sensor.
3. Check low coolant sensor connector for good contact at terminals "A" (Black wire), "B" (Pink wire), and "C" (Yellow/Black wire). If terminal contact is okay, replace low coolant sensor.
