Cluster Display Does Not Dim Or Goes Blank With Head/Park

LIGHT SWITCH IN HEAD OR PARK POSITION

1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect IPC connector C2, located on rear of cluster. Position head/park light switch in HEAD or PARK position. Put dimmer control in LO position.
2. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between connector C2, terminal E4 (Yellow wire) and ground. If battery voltage is not present, repair or replace Yellow wire as necessary.
3. If battery voltage is present, measure voltage between connector C2, terminal E1 (Gray wire) and ground while adjusting dimmer control. If voltage varies with dimmer control, check IPC connector C2 for good contact at terminals E4 (Yellow wire) and E1 (Gray wire). If terminal contact is okay, replace IPC.
4. If voltage does not vary with dimmer control, check Gray wire for an open circuit, high resistance, or short to ground. Also check head/park light switch connector for good terminal contact. If all circuits are okay, replace head/park light switch.
