Removal & Installation

Remove caliper and wire aside. See FRONT BRAKE CALIPER . Mark rotor in relation to hub for installation reference. Remove rotor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten nuts and bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

NOTE: Manufacturer does not recommend resurfacing rotors when replacing brake pads. Resurface rotors only when there is a brake pulsation complaint or scoring greater than .060" (1.5 mm). See FRONT ROTOR RESURFACING SPECIFICATIONS  table.

(1) Manufacturer does not recommend resurfacing rotors when replacing brake pads. Resurface rotors only when there is a brake pulsation complaint or scoring greater than .060" (1.5 mm).
(2) Per rotor side.

(4) With rotor still mounted on brake lathe, use a power sanding disc with 120 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper held for a minimum of 60 seconds on each side of rotor. A sanding block with 150 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper may be used in place of a power sanding disc. After sanding rotor, clean surface with denatured alcohol.
