Entering IPC Self-Diagnostics
Electronic Comfort Control (ECC) panel or CRT/DID can access and control Body Control Module (BCM) self-diagnostic features. Self-diagnostic trouble codes are displayed on IPC Driver Information Center (DIC). See Figure . When a malfunction is sensed by BCM, a driver warning message is displayed in this area.
To enter IPC self-diagnostics on non-CRT/DID models, turn ignition on, and simultaneously press OFF and WARM buttons on Electronic Climate Control (ECC) panel until all display segments light. Diagnostic code level will display BCM, Electronic Control Module (ECM) and Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) codes. Proceed to IPC system by pressing FAN (Down) button. When IPC INPUTS? is displayed, press FAN (Up) button. IPC inputs will display, and diagnostics can begin. See IPC INPUTS under ON-VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS. To exit diagnostics, press BI-LEV button.
To enter IPC self-diagnostics on CRT/DID models, turn ignition on and press OFF hard key and WARM soft key until all display segments light. Diagnostic code level will display ECM, BCM and SIR codes. Proceed to IPC system by pressing NO button until IPC? is displayed. Once IPC? is displayed, press YES button. When IPC INPUTS? is displayed, press YES button again. IPC inputs will display and diagnostics can begin. See IPC INPUTS under ON-VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS. To exit diagnostics, press RTN soft key or turn ignition off.
