Oil Pressure Gauge & Sender Test
- Enter diagnostics. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If BCM diagnostic code B132 is not set, go to next step. If code B132 is set, perform appropriate diagnostic procedure.
- Measure oil pressure to determine if low or high oil pressure condition exists and repair as necessary. If oil pressure is okay, disconnect oil pressure sender connector.
- Connect voltmeter between ground and Light Green wire terminal of oil pressure sender connector. Turn ignition on. If 5 volts are present, replace sender. If 5 volts are not present, connect voltmeter between ground and Light Green wire terminal of BCM 32-pin Red connector (connector connected).
- If 5 volts are present, check for poor connections in Light Green wire circuit and repair as necessary. If 5 volts are not present, check for short to ground in Light Green wire circuit. If Light Green wire circuit is okay, replace BCM.
