Wheel Speed Sensor: Description and Operation

These sensors located on the front steering knuckles and under the wheel bearing dust caps on the rear wheels, send a low voltage signal to the ECU. This signal is produced by rotating a toothed ring around the sensor pole piece, which produces a magnetic field that increases and decreases in magnitude.
