Oil Pressure Gauge Test
- If oil pressure gauge does not read correctly, remove connector and Tan wire from oil pressure sender. Clip one lead of Tester (J-33431) to Tan wire connector and one lead to ground.
- Place ignition switch in "RUN" position. Set resistance control on tester to 4 ohms, 44 ohms and 90 ohms. Gauge should indicate low, midscale and high respectively.
- If gauge does not read correctly, disconnect tester and check Tan wire for battery voltage. If voltage is present, wire is okay. Install a new oil pressure gauge. If gauge reads correctly, install a new oil pressure sender unit.
