Removal (Firenza)
- To remove cluster housing, remove right, left and steering column trim covers. Remove 7 screws attaching cluster trim cover to instrument panel and remove trim cover. Remove 5 screws attaching lens and bezel to cluster carrier.
- Loosen 2 steering column upper mount bolts, then lower steering column. Remove 4 screws attaching cluster housing to cluster carrier. Pull cluster out slightly from instrument panel and disconnect speedometer cable. Remove cluster housing.
- If cluster carrier must be removed, detach 4 cluster carrier mount screws from instrument panel. Pull cluster carrier forward and remove 2 screws attaching instrument panel wiring harness to rear of cluster carrier. Remove cluster carrier.
- To remove speedometer, detach vehicle speed sensor LED/photo cell mount screw from rear of speedometer head. Remove 2 screws attaching speedometer head to cluster housing from rear of cluster. Remove speedometer.
- Remove all snap-in bulbs from rear of cluster and note location for reassembly reference. Disconnect vehicle speed sensor connector. Remove any nuts retaining printed circuit to cluster housing, then remove printed circuit.
NOTE:
When inspecting printed circuit, check individual problem circuits visually for breaks from cluster connector contact-to-cluster bulb or gauge terminal locations.
