Removal (Ciera)

  1. Remove accessory trim cover. Remove screws attaching instrument panel cluster trim cover, then remove cover. Disconnect speedometer cable at transmission (or at transducer on cruise control equipped vehicles).
  2. Remove steering column trim collar screws, steering column trim collar, steering column trim cover mount screws and trim cover. Disconnect shift indicator clip from steering column shift bowl.
  3. Remove instrument cluster mount screws, then pull out cluster and disconnect speedometer cable. Remove cluster assembly. Detach screw retaining vehicle speed sensor pick-up to rear of speedometer head (mechanical cluster). Remove 4 cluster lens retaining screws, then remove lens and bezel.
  4. Remove screw (from rear of cluster) attaching speedometer head to cluster assembly. Remove retaining screws from front of speedometer, then remove speedometer head by gently pulling forward.
