Removal (Calais)

  1. To remove speedometer from standard cluster, detach steering column collar, steering column opening filler and cluster trim cover. Remove 2 bolts from steering column support and lower steering column.
  2. Detach 4 screws retaining cluster to instrument panel pad, then remove cluster by pulling rearward. Detach screws from cluster lens, then remove lens. Carefully lift speedometer facing. Unplug odometer motor leads and remove speedometer.
  3. After speedometer is removed, detach fuel gauge mount screws, then lift upward to remove gauge. Detach odometer assembly mount screws, then lift upward on assembly to remove.
  4. To remove all gauges from gauge package cluster, detach steering column collar, steering column opening filler and cluster trim cover. Remove 2 bolts from steering column support and lower steering column.
  5. Detach 4 screws retaining cluster to instrument panel pad, then remove cluster by pulling rearward. Detach screws from cluster lens, then remove lens. Unhook circuit board connector.
  6. Lift facing up and unhook odometer motor leads. Detach screws mounting gauge(s) and odometer, remove as necessary.
