Gauge Test (W/Gauges)
- If fuel gauge does not work, check gauges fuse. If fuse is good but gauges (voltmeter and oil) do not operate, check ground to circuit and ensure ground connector is clean and tight. If more than 1 gauge is out, check printed circuit.
- If fuel gauge reads incorrectly, disconnect wire (Pink) from fuel gauge sender. Connect 1 lead from Tester (BT-11-15A or KM-33431A) to wire (Pink) connector. Connect other lead to ground.
- With ignition switch turned to "Run", set tester controls to 0 ohms (or empty). The fuel gauge should indicate empty or below. Set tester controls to 90 ohms (or full). The fuel gauge should indicate full or above. If fuel gauge does not respond correctly, replace fuel gauge.
- If fuel gauge responds correctly, check connector to sender, the wiring and ground connector (at front of fuel tank). If these are good, replace fuel gauge sender.
