Removal (Toronado)

  1. Remove headlight switch knobs. Disconnect assembly line communication link connector from steering column trim cover (if equipped). Remove 4 screws from bottom side of steering column trim cover, then detach trim cover from instrument panel.
    NOTE: It may be necessary to disconnect shift indicator clip and lower steering column slightly to obtain clearance needed for left hand trim cover removal.
  2. Remove 4 screws from underside of left hand trim cover. Carefully pull left hand trim cover rearward to remove (out of spring clips). See Figure .
