Removal (Ciera)
- Detach 4 steering column collar push clips (1 in each corner). Carefully pry steering column collar rearward and from instrument panel. Remove 6 trim cover mount screws, then remove steering column trim cover. See Fig 1 .
- To detach 2 outer outlet air deflector ducts, place fingers on outsides of deflector adjusters and pull rearward. Remove 1 from each side of accessory trim cover. Remove 2 mount screws from behind ducts (1 on each side) and 1 mount screw from behind steering column collar. See Fig 1 .
- If console equipped, remove 2 mount screws from ashtray cover and 2 mount screws from trim cover. If non-console equipped, open ashtray and remove 2 mount screws.
- If column shifter equipped, place lever in "L" (low) position. Pull rearward on accessory trim cover to release clips, then remove cover from instrument panel. Detach 3 cluster trim cover mount screws from lower mounting and 4 mount screws from upper mounting.
- Pull cluster trim cover from the top, then pull upward and rearward to remove from instrument panel. See Fig 1 .
