Intake Manifold: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery. Drain radiator. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove A.I.R. crossover tube. Disconnect upper radiator hose and thermostat by-pass hose. Disconnect coolant hoses at manifold. Disconnect fuel and vacuum lines.
  2. Disconnect throttle and detent cables. Remove temperature sensor and wires. Remove alternator, A/C compressor and brackets. DO NOT discharge A/C. Remove cruise control servo and bracket, if equipped. Remove carburetor solenoid or ILC unit. Remove bolts and intake manifold assembly.
