Inside Ambient Air Temperature Incorrect Or Does Not Vary

Turn ignition on. Ensure "INSIDE" temperature is displayed. If not, push "TEMP" button one time. Record inside ambient air temperature displayed. Compare that temperature with a thermometer. Difference should be no more than 2°F.

If temperature varies, remove left front speaker cover. Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug cluster harness connector. Measure resistance between pins C (Dark Green wire) and U (Black wire) of cluster harness connector. Compare readings to Temperature Sensor Resistance chart.

If resistances are as specified, replace cluster. If resistances are incorrect, replace inside temperature sensor.
