Digital Displays

Speedometer, odometer, and ambient temperature indicators will display in either metric or English units depending on the position of the English/Metric (E/M) switch. Vehicle speed indicator uses a signal provided by the vehicle speed sensor located near the speedometer assembly. If vehicle speed exceeds 85 MPH (137 KPH), vehicle speed will display about 1 time per second.

Ambient temperature readout will display the inside or outside temperature. Pressing the "TEMP" button will change the display from inside to outside. A memory is built into the outside ambient air circuit. The instrument cluster must receive a speed signal before outside ambient temperature display will update itself. Outside temperature sensor is mounted on center radiator support bracket. Inside temperature sensor is located below right hand side speaker opening.
