Timing Chain: Installation
Install camshaft sprocket, crankshaft sprocket and timing chain together and align timing marks (see Fig 1). Install fuel pump eccentric with flat side rearward. Drive crankshaft sprocket key in with a brass hammer until it bottoms.
NOTE:
When two marks are in alignment, number six piston is at TDC. To obtain TDC for number one cylinder, rotate crankshaft one revolution. This will bring camshaft sprocket mark to the top and number one piston will be in firing position.
