Piston & Rod Assembly: Installation

Lightly coat pistons, rings and cylinder walls with engine oil. Install ring compressor on piston and install piston and rod assembly in its respective cylinder bore with notch on piston head facing front of engine. Guide connecting rod onto crankshaft journal while tapping piston head with hammer handle to seat connecting rod against crankshaft. Install mating rod cap and tighten rod cap nuts.
