Connecting Rod Bearings

After ensuring rod caps are marked for cylinder identification, remove rod caps. Use Plastigage method to check for proper bearing clearances. If not within specifications, new bearings must be installed.

NOTE: Tang on bearing half must fit with notch on rod cap and connecting rod.

Coat bearing surfaces with oil, install rod cap and tighten nuts.
