Diagnosis Procedure

Both side headlamps (HI) are not turned ON when setting to the lighting switch HI or PASS.

1. COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION 

   Check combination switch. Refer to Symptom Table .

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES

   GO TO 2.

   NO

   Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.

2. CHECK HIGH BEAM REQUEST SIGNAL 

   CONSULT

   1. Select "HIGH BEAM REQ" and "PASSING REQ" in "Data Monitor" mode of "IPDM E/R".
   2. With operating the lighting switch, check the monitor status.

      Monitor item	Condition		Monitor status
      HIGH BEAM REQ	Lighting switch (2ND)	HI	On
      		LO	Off
      PASSING REQ	Lighting switch	PASS	On
      		OFF	Off

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES

   Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

   NO

   Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .
