INPUT SPEED SENSOR B

(Input/Turbine Speed Sensor "B" Circuit Range/Performance)

Diagnosis condition

When all of the following conditions are satisfied with different gears:

• At no gear change
• Selector lever: Other than P, R, N
• Vehicle speed: 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
• Input speed: 300 rpm or more
• Engine speed: "Input speed" -"100 rpm" or more
• 1.5 seconds or more after shift from D to M position
• When any of the following throttle position is established;
  • Driving at D ₁ , D ₂ : 2.0/8 or more
  • Driving at M1, M2: 0.625/8 or more
  • Other than above: 0/8 or more

Signal

Input speed sensor signal

Threshold

TCM judges that input speed sensor 2 signal is not reasonable by comparing input speed sensor 1 signal, input speed sensor 2 signal and output speed sensor signal.

Diagnosis delay time

Satisfy for four times in 1DC according to any of the following;

• ATF temperature is 200 deg.C (392 deg.F) or less: 1 second or more
• ATF temperature is 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or less: 5 seconds or more
• ATF temperature is -30 deg.C (-22 deg.F) or less: 22 minutes or more
