DTC Confirmation Procedure

CAUTION:
  • "DTC Diagnosis Procedure" must be performed before starting "Confirmation Procedure".

    Never perform "Confirmation Procedure" before completing the repair, which may cause secondary malfunction.

  • Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
  1. PRECONDITIONING 

    If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" is previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK DTC DETECTION 

    SYMBOL With CONSULT

    1. Start the engine.
    2. Select "SLCT LVR POSI" and "GEAR" in "Data Monitor" in "TRANSMISSION".
    3. Drive vehicle the following condition. (Maintain the each gear for 6 seconds or more.)

      ATF TEMP 1

      : 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more

      MANU MODE SW

      : ON

      GEAR

      : 1st -> 2nd -> 3rd -> 4th -> 5th -> 6th -> 7th

      VHCL/S SE-A/T

      : 12 km/h (7 MPH) or more
    4. Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "TRANSMISSION".

    SYMBOL With GST

    Follow the procedure "With CONSULT".

    Is "P0893" detected?

    YES

    Go to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

    NO

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident .

    NO

    Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
