DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.
  1. PRECONDITIONING 

    If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" is previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK DTC DETECTION 

    SYMBOL With CONSULT

    1. Start the engine.
    2. Select "SLCT LVR POSI", "ACCELE POSI", "ENGINE SPEED" and "OUTPUT REV" in "Data Monitor" in "TRANSMISSION".
    3. Drive vehicle and maintain the following conditions for 10 seconds or more.
      NOTE: Driving the vehicle uphill (increased engine load) will help maintain the driving conditions required for this test.

      SLCT LVR POSI

      : D

      ACCELE POSI

      : 1.3/8 or more

      ENGINE SPEED

      : More than 450 rpm

      OUTPUT REV

      : 300 -- 1797 rpm
    4. Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "TRANSMISSION".

    SYMBOL With GST

    Follow the procedure "With CONSULT".

    Is "P0742" detected?

    YES

    Go to DTC Diagnosis Procedure .

    NO

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident .

    NO

    Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
