Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Perform ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING ECM. Refer to Description .
  1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
  2. Remove the front fender protector (RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Position the relay box and IDPM/ER aside.
  4. Disconnect the harness connectors from ECM.
  5. Remove nuts (A) and ECM (2) from ECM bracket (1).

    : Front

    Nut (A)

    : 5.5 N.m (0.57 kg-m, 49 ft-lb)
  6. Remove bolts and ECM bracket (1) from vehicle (if necessary).
