Connecting Rod Bolt Outer Diameter

NOTE: For fully threaded bolts perform the following:

Measure the outer diameters (A), (B) at two position as shown in the figure.

(C)	: 19 mm (0.75 in)
(D)	: 5 mm (0.20 in)

Subtract (A) from (B).

Limit [(B) - (A)]

: 0.15 mm (0.0059 in)

If it exceeds the limit (large difference in dimensions), replace the bolt with new one.

NOTE: For partially threaded bolts perform the following:

Measure the outer diameters[(a), (b) and (c)] at the position as shown in the figure.

(a)	: Value at the end of the smaller diameter of the bolt
(b)	: Value at the end of the smaller diameter of the bolt [opposite side of (a)]
(c)	: Value of the smallest diameter of the smaller of the bolt

Subtract (c) from (d)

Limit [(d) - (c)]

: 0.09 mm (0.0035 in)

If it exceeds the limit (large difference in dimensions), replace the bolt with new one.
