Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect VVEL actuator motor assembly harness connector.
  2. Loosen bolts (C) and then remove VVEL actuator motor assembly (1).

    CAUTION: Do not loosen screws (A) of VVEL actuator motor assembly.

  3. If removing the VVEL actuator housing assembly, use the following procedure:
    1. Remove rocker cover. Refer to Exploded View .
    2. Insert bolt (A) removed in step 2 into VVEL actuator housing assembly.

    3. Loosen bolt (C) to disengage the control shaft and the actuator arm.

    4. Loosen bolts (C) and then remove VVEL actuator housing assembly.
