Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING: To avoid the danger of being scalded, do not drain engine oil when engine is hot.
  1. Drain engine oil. Refer to Draining .
  2. Remove oil pan (lower) in the following sequence.
    1. Remove bolts in the reverse order as shown.

      SYMBOL

      : Engine front
    2. Insert Tool (A) between oil pan (upper) and oil pan (lower).

      CAUTION:
      • Be careful not to damage the mating surfaces.
      • Do not insert a screwdriver. This damages the mating surfaces.

      Tool number (A)

      : KV10111100 (J-37228)
    3. Slide the Tool by tapping on the side of tool with a suitable tool and remove oil pan (lower).
  3. Remove oil strainer (if necessary).
