Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Drain engine coolant from the radiator. Refer to Changing Engine Coolant .
    CAUTION:
    • Perform this step when engine is cold.
    • Do not spill engine coolant on drive belts.
  2. Remove reservoir tank hose and water hose.
  3. Unclip the reservoir overflow hose from the radiator shroud.
  4. Remove the reservoir tank bracket and reservoir tank.
  5. Unclip the transmission lines from the radiator shroud.
  6. Disconnect the harness connector from motor driven cooling fan.
  7. Remove clips and remove upper air guide.
  8. Remove the radiator shrouds [lower (RH/LH)].
    • Release the tabs, pull radiator shrouds [lower (RH/LH)] rearward and down to remove.
  9. Remove the radiator shroud (upper) bolts and remove the radiator shroud (upper).
  10. Disconnect the radiator hoses (upper/lower) from the radiator.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to allow engine coolant to contact drive belts.
  11. Disconnect A/T fluid cooler hoses.
  12. Remove front grille. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  13. Disconnect harness connector from refrigerant pressure sensor.
  14. Remove bolts and separate condenser and liquid tank assembly from radiator.
  15. Remove the radiator as follows:
    CAUTION: Do not damage or scratch air conditioner condenser, A/T oil cooler or radiator core when removing.
    1. Remove the radiator upper mount bracket bolts.
    2. Lift and pull radiator rearward to disengage the rubber mounting (lower) from the radiator core support center.
    3. Remove the radiator by lifting up.
