Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT FOR IPDM E/R 
    1. Perform "Self Diagnostic Result" of "IPDM E/R" using CONSULT.
    2. Erase DTCs.
    3. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    4. Turn ignition switch ON.
    5. Perform "Self Diagnostic Result" of "IPDM E/R".

    Are any DTCs detected?

    YES

    Refer to DTC Index .

    NO

    GO TO 2

  2. CHECK IGNITION RELAY-1 SIGNAL 

    Check voltage between BCM connector M20 terminal 70 and ground.

    0V

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    GO TO 3

  3. CHECK IGNITION RELAY-1 SIGNAL POWER SUPPLY 

    Check voltage between IPDM E/R connector E19 and ground.

    0V

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 4

    NO

    Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

  4. CHECK IGNITION RELAY-1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT CONTINUITY 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect BCM connector M20 and IPDM E/R connector E19.
    3. Check continuity between BCM connector M20 and IPDM E/R connector E19.

      Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.
