Diagnosis Procedure

PERFORM SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT
Perform "Self Diagnostic Result" of "IPDM E/R" using CONSULT.

Is display history of DTC B20A7 CRNT?

YES

GO TO 2 .

NO

Refer to Intermittent Incident .

CHECK IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT VOLTAGE

Check voltage between IPDM E/R connector E19 and ground.

			Ignition switch: OFF	Battery voltage

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Voltage present with ignition switch OFF .

GO TO 3

GO TO 4 .

CHECK IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO VOLTAGE

Disconnect IPDM E/R connector E19 and BCM connector M20.

Check voltage between IPDM E/R connector E19 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND

Disconnect IPDM E/R connector E19 and BCM connector M20.

Check continuity between IPDM E/R connector E19 and BCM connector M20.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace harness or connectors.
