Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 

    If DTC P2617 is displayed with DTC P0335, first perform the confirmation procedure (trouble diagnosis) for DTC P0335.

    Is DTC P0335 detected?

    YES

    Perform diagnosis for P0335. Refer to DTC Description .

    NO

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR ELECTRIC INTAKE VALVE TIMING CONTROL 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect ECM harness connector and electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.
    3. Check the continuity between ECM harness connector and electric intake valve timing control module harness connector.

    4. Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    INSPECTION END

    NO

    Repair or replace error-detected parts.
