Diagnosis Procedure
Controls the step lamp control circuit (ground side) to turn the step lamps and foot lamps ON and OFF.
- CHECK STEP LAMP OUTPUT
CONSULT
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Select STEP LAMP TEST of BCM (INT LAMP) active test item.
- While operating the test item, check voltage between BCM harness connector M18 terminal 21 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Step lamp control circuit is operating normally.
Fixed ON
GO TO 3.
Fixed OFF
GO TO 2
- CHECK STEP LAMP OPEN CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the following harness connectors:
- BCM M18
- Front step lamp LH D10
- Front step lamp RH D108
- Foot lamp LH M99
- Foot lamp RH M100
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector M18 terminal 21 and the following lamp harness connector terminal.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Check front step lamp or foot lamp for an open. If NG, replace lamp in question. Refer to Removal and Installation (Drive side for foot lamp), Removal and Installation (Passenger side for foot lamp) or Removal and Installation (Front step lamp). If OK, replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .
NO
Repair or replace harness or connectors.
- CHECK STEP LAMP SHORT CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the following harness connectors:
- BCM M18
- Front step lamp LH D10
- Front step lamp RH D108
- Foot lamp LH M99
- Foot lamp RH M100
- Check continuity between BCM harness connector M18 terminal 21 and ground.

YES
Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace harness or connectors.
